Get a flu shot ASAP

2025-09-25 11:18
Dear NU Students,

As part of our commitment to strengthening public health, the Health and Well-being Department in cooperation with University Health Center (CF UMC) encourages all students to get an annual influenza vaccination.

We have the Grippol vaccinespecifically developed for the influenza strains of the 2025-2026 season.

The flu vaccination is arranged on campus at the University Health Center, according to the schedule indicated in the Registration form.

The flu is easily spread through coughs and sneezes, or even just touching something that has the virus on it. It is much worse than a cold and causes fever, fatigue, headache, muscle and joint pains, cough, and sore throat. Most people who get the flu need several days off study/work and risk spreading the illness to their family and friends. Some people with health problems may have severe conditions and even require in-hospital care.

Preventing the flu through vaccination is simple, safe, and effective and can be done in a few easy steps. If you are unsure whether to receive the flu vaccine, please follow this link to receive more information.

To help the UHC team run smoothly and minimize the disruption to your day, please:

- Book your vaccination appointment;

- Plan your visit to UHC as per the time slot indicated in the confirmation email sent a day or two prior the vaccination date;

- Wear clothes that will allow access to the top of your upper arm;

- Arrive on time;

- Get examined by the doctor;

- Complete the required medical forms;

- Follow the nurse’s instructions in the vaccination process;

- Stay at the UHC general vicinity for 10-15 minutes after getting vaccinated.

- If you could not come for the vaccination on the appointment date, please repeat the registration for another day.

We appreciate sharing this information with other students.

Best regards,
Health and Well-being Department in cooperation with the University Health Center
