Whether it was a cardiac arrest, choking, or severe injury, having the right knowledge and confidence to act swiftly helped prevent further harm and even saved lives. Basic Life Support (BLS) training focused on providing immediate care, stabilizing the patient, and ensuring that emergency medical services (EMS) had the best possible chance of success upon arrival.
The training sessions included:
Why was this training important? Every second counts in an emergency. Trained individuals were able to offer immediate assistance, potentially preventing further injury and reducing the risk of fatal outcomes. By equipping NU employees with these life-saving skills, the training contributed to creating a safer environment within the university community.
The Health and Well-being Department encouraged all registered participants to take full advantage of this opportunity and actively engage in the training sessions. Upon successful completion, participants received certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), further reinforcing their ability to handle emergencies effectively.
