Nazarbayev University Students Lead Life-Saving Blood Donation Events
At Nazarbayev University, student volunteers from the NU Red Crescent Society, with the support of the Health and Well-being Department, have been actively organizing blood donation drives to promote a culture of giving and community service. These events not only provide essential blood supplies to Research and Production Center of Transfusiology for medical emergencies but also highlight the commitment of NU students and staff to making a meaningful impact on society.
Impactful Blood Drives: 2023-2025
Over the past two academic years, multiple blood donation events were successfully held across campus, engaging 687 donors and collecting a total of 289.2 liters of blood, potentially saving 2,061 lives.
These student-led initiatives continue to grow in scale and impact, encouraging the NU community to take part in lifesaving humanitarian efforts. Through strong partnerships with medical organizations, these events ensure a reliable blood supply while fostering volunteerism and social responsibility among students and staff.
NU remains committed to supporting such vital initiatives and looks forward to further expanding its efforts in health awareness and community engagement.
